What will you do
As a Global Trade Compliance Manager you will lead trade compliance projects, and use existing reports and data to identify improvement opportunities for import and export operations for the Sensormatic Division within Johnson Controls.
You will serve as a subject matter expert on trade compliance related activities for business leaders and provide training to team members as requested.
You will work in an international team located in NA, LATAM, EMEA and APAC regions.
How you will do it
Work with the core Johnson Controls Trade Compliance organization to establish baseline Trade Compliance key performance leading and lagging indicators.
Review metrics, identify opportunities, and implement changes that improve the key performance indicators.
Provide advice and risk assessment on business strategies for current and proposed business decisions.
Lead trade compliance projects as assigned or identified within the Sensormatic organization.
Represent the needs of the Sensormatic organization within the broader Johnson Controls team.
Proactively monitor major trade changes, and elevate concerns and solutions that could have an impact on the flow of goods around the globe.
What we look for
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in the field: import / export and customs regulations and formalities, international trade compliance program.
Knowledge of Oracle / JDE / Baan / SAP / MS Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language.
Additional languages are plus.
Ability to influence across organizational boundaries, and negotiate to establish priorities.
Project management experience.
Service-oriented, pro-active attitude and ability to set priorities.
Occasional travel might be required in specific cases, such as training or internal audit.
