Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing directing and managing resources for school including budget responsibility; resource utilization; recruitment and management of assigned faculty and staff; achieving quality outcomes; performance improvement; monitoring of quality and quantity of services; maintaining positive working relationships with faculty, staff, and hospital departments; and compliance with accreditation essentials and guidelines.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required: Associate of Science degree in Nursing.
Credentials to meet qualifications directed by accrediting and licensing organizations.
Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Required: 5 years teaching in disciplines with responsibilities in education, management, curriculum design, evaluation, and faculty development.
Competence in clinical practice area.
Preferred: Management in healthcare setting or leadership in academic environment.
CERTIFICATION
Required: Current state RN License and credentialed by state agencies.
BLS obtained through approved American Heart Assoc Training Center.
BLS - Obtain within 60 days of hire/transfer (2 yr renewal)
