Duties and Responsibilities - Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans for mathematics classes.
- Teach mathematics concepts to students using various instructional strategies.
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance instruction and student learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials.
Attends weekly grade-level/ PLC meetings.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students as needed.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment.
-Understand and implement the school’s mission and philosophy of Catholic education and all that is contained in the Employee Handbook and Student and Parent Handbook.
-Attends all scheduled meetings to cooperate with the ongoing development and improvement of the school Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (Master's degree encouraged/preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics or required a number of content hours by TCCBED our accreditation agency .
- Experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in mathematics instruction.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics content and instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Experience working with needs is a plus.
