Job Duties: Follow safety rules as student's board and exit buses or cross streets near bus stops.
Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
Maintain order among pupils during trips to ensure safety.
Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.
Keep bus interiors clean for passengers.
Drive gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi-passenger vehicles to transport students between neighborhoods, schools, and school activities.
Performs cleaning and janitorial duties, limited grounds maintenance, and minor repair work.
Reports needs for major repairs to lead custodian.
Keeps janitor's room neat and orderly and reports supply orders to lead custodian.
Mows and trims lawn and hedges.
Cleans snow from entrances and sidewalks.
Assists in control of sanitation.
Assists in checking school for safety hazards and reports any deficiency.
